Tomato has a lot of health benefits. It is highly beneficial for health. The anti-oxidant found in tomato, lycopene prevents pancreas cancer. If you consume one tomato every day, it will reduce the risk of pancreatic cancer. It is packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and anti-oxidants.

Tomato also contains potassium. One cup of tomato juice contains 534 mlg potassium. The people who suffer from kidney related problems should make the habit of eating tomatoes daily.

It is better to eat cooked tomatoes than raw. Though Vitamin C is reduced due to cooking, it lowers the risk of heart disease. Experts say eating 80 gm cooked tomatoes removes the bad impact of high calorie foods in the body.
